ABOUT US

 

The Freight Accounting and Information Management Association (FAIMA) is a member-centered organization created for the advancement of the operational aspects of freight accounting, payment and information management. FAIMA is committed to helping Members streamline payment processing and improve the quality and usefulness of management information. It is backed by individuals with years of hands-on freight accounting, payment, and information management experience.


Patricia M. Wysocki, Executive Director

Patricia M. Wysocki's 30-year trade-association career has most recently included 12 years as executive director of the Specialized Information Publishers Association. She also has served as treasurer of the Consumer Bankers Association and as controller of the National Telephone Cooperative Association. She is a graduate of the Institute for Organizational Management, a six-year study course for association executives sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Wysocki has lectured extensively across the U.S., Canada and Europe. She was the publisher of SIPA's biweekly, members-only newsletter, Hotline, and biweekly e-zine SIPAlert.

Currently, Ms. Wysocki serves on the board of directors of the Specialized Information Publishers Foundation where she previously held the title of Secretary/Treasurer for many years. She also served on the Junior League of Washington's board of directors as Ways & Means Council Director, responsible for more than $500,000 of revenue from various fundraising sources, and also as its Parliamentarian. She chaired various fundraisers, raising millions of dollars for the D.C. community. Ms. Wysocki holds a B.S. degree in Accounting.


Advisory Board

Robert Timperely
Bob has spent the past twenty-six (26) years working in the Global Service Logistics industry primarily focused on Transportation, Warehousing, and Import/Export activities. He started his career at Digital Equipment Corporation in Woburn, Massachusetts in 1979. In 1995 Bob made the trip south to Peachtree City, GA. where he resides today working at NCR as the Global Director of Service Logistics Transportation & 3rd Party Warehousing. In addition, Bob is responsible for managing the Freight Audit & Pay relationship for NCR with its’ 3rd party provider.

Doug Weier
For 17 years Doug was Vice President of Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management for Viacom, a multi-national entertainment corporation whose brands included CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures. At Viacom Doug’s responsibilities included procurement and global strategic sourcing, contract compliance, supplier relations, traffic and logistical support. Doug chaired the corporate enterprise Traffic Council and was a founding member of DHL’s Corporate Advisory Board. He holds a BA in psychology and Business from Michigan State University.

George Andrews
George is the former Director of Corporate Transportation at Simon and Schuster, one of the world’s largest publishing companies. Before retiring in 2003 after 27 years with Simon & Schuster, George oversaw all transportation matters for 10 facilities including rate and freight bill audit and payment. Prior to Simon and Schuster, George had responsibility for freight audit and payment operations at Random House, RCA and Weyerhauser.

Phil Binkow
Phil Binkow is founder and CEO of Financial Operations Networks, publisher of business operations resources. Prior to starting Financial Operations Networks, Phil founded and served as CEO of PayTech, an electronic payables processing, disbursements and information services provider. Under Phil, PayTech grew to eighty employees processing over $1.5 billion and sixty million invoices annually; he sold PayTech to Profit Recovery Group [PRGX] in 1999. Phil holds a B.A. from Stetson University and an MBA from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Specialized Information Publishers Association, and president of the Board of Trustees of Friends of North Springs High School, Inc., a non-profit foundation.
